Pre-Institute Session: Deliberative Dialogue Training
Join Leslie Garvin, Executive Director for North Carolina Campus Compact for this pre-institute session from 1:00 - 4:30pm on Thursday, March 21. A Deliberative Dialogue Forum brings people together in a small gathering to deliberate for a few hours about challenging public issues. The process is guided by a neutral moderator and a discussion guide that presents multiple approaches to addressing the problem. This method was developed and promoted by the National Issues Forum (NIF). Description
The Campus Compact for Wisconsin (CCWI) Civic Engagement Institute (CEI) connects faculty, professional staff, students, and campus and community leaders interested in higher education community engagement. It offers opportunities to network and learn from one another while engaging in knowledge- and skill-building sessions and discussing important issues for Wisconsin campuses and local communities.

The 2019 CEI is graciously hosted by Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI and will take place Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22.

On Thursday, March 21, attendees are encouraged to register for one of our afternoon pre-institute sessions, as well as attend our evening reception and annual CCWI Award Dinner.

On Friday, March 22, attendees are invited to join us for a light continental breakfast, welcoming remarks, and morning presentation sessions. Our morning programming will be followed by a lunch buffet, keynote address, and closing remarks.
